Basis for ANMRA Formation
Our cities, Nairobi in particular, are undergoing a Radical Transformation. More and more people now live in cities, a proportion expected to grow, especially in the Eastern part of Nairobi. There has also been a rapid expansion of metropolitan areas.
Unfortunately, low investment, technical, and resources have gone in to support this urbanization. There have been disproportionate investments to build and revitalize neighborhoods, commercial districts, and brownfields as well as critical water, energy, health, schools and transportation infrastructure systems in the Eastern parts of Nairobi and the emerging metropolis.
COMMUNITY NEIGHBORHOODS ARE THE SOUL AND LIFEBLOOD OF A CITY.
They sit in the heart of some of the most complex challenges facing city makers/planners today. But they can also become the building blocks of future cities. With our Motto: TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER, we believe every community deserves to live with dignity in a safe, clean, greener environment with equitable distribution of resources.
